Yes, I am 100 percent on agreeing with Hamlet(son) to kill Claudius(Uncle) because he really deserve it. He is as guilty as his concision. Claudius had the mind to kill his own blood which was his brother then Hamlet should have the same mind to kill Claudius. Because of what he did in order to gain the throne. The decision between life and death is giving Hamlet second thought of whether he should proceed in order to complete his father revenge (death). Not to be cruel but I would love to see Claudius have a painful death.
Hamlet is right in one way in order to think whether or not he should have kill him. Why, because he is giving it a closer look to look at the consequences and taking it step by step in order to make the death a successful one. Just stating. If he would have went right away then the people would have thought that he was going for the throne. But it is a smart conclusion for him to give it a second thought act it out meaning acting like he is crazy. So people will have second thought and not thinking it is because he want the throne. Hamlet knows what he is doing and I believe for sure he will kill Claudius slowly but surly.
I do agree with you on the fact that Claudius needs a painful death, one that should and will be a suprise for. But the only reason why he killed his brother is in order to gain power. So one could question if power was not a factor in Claudius taking such action, Would it have been what it is now? Money does drive people to do things at great lengths. Think about Gatsby he gained money just to impress someone. He went to great legnths just to gain power just like Claudius. I for one felt sorry for Gatsby, so should we also feel sorry for Claudius? Maybe he had a great reason to take such actions? It's just a thought...
ReplyDeleteI respect your opinion but Gatsby is type different he did this to get back his past love which was Daisy and Daisy was not related to him the way his current wife which supposed to be his sister in law and became his wife honey. I see your point but it is a different situation here. And not in a billion years will i forgive Claudius because he damn well deserve death.
Delete1. Claudius is not dead yet... We don't know that! Or did you read ahead again!?! Think of it this way:(remember this is only perspective) When people did actually marry into the family. When times were hard and it came right down to it to keep life going on. Similar perspective here. Life needed to go on so Claudius took over.
DeleteHas it become something so revolting to marry with in the family? Yes, now we know the side effects of doing that. Time may repeat it self. So when it comes down to it in times of hardship will people sacrifice or prefer to die with out a next generation?
Yea but the fact is he killed his own brother. He should have left it where his brother would live on until when death finally approaches him. Am just saying God did not come down to Claudius and say son kill your brother that it will be your gift in order to go to heaven right?
